A Necro Wep
Ok, I just got very lucky finding a superior monk rune, and sold it for a whopping 9k . In anycase, I already have good armor and the only rune I want, so I guess the only thing left to spend it on is a good weapon. Right now I'm using a Defensive Raven Staff 11-22 dmg, which I think is mediocre but gets the job done. Anyone know of a good necro wep? Death or blood, I don't mind, because although I'm MMing it's good not to be completely useless when there's a drought of fleshies.

a good offhand would be bortaks bone cesta as it has +1 death (20%) and most groups want level 18/19 minions.
a good wep IMO, would be something with +15 energy -1 energy regen, as soul reaping would make up for the -1... |

Buy yourself a +4 or +5 energy head and a +18% - +20% Death magic wrap. Then slap them both on the 20/20 collectors death staff. IMO the best overall death staff in the game. Can anyone else remember if they have a 20/20 blood staff? If they do, just try and get yurself a 18% - 20% Blood magic wrap.

it's gonna cost you more than 9k for a ass kicking MM weapon.
a staff wrapping of death +1 18%-20% isn't cheap. |

With 9k, you could easily pick up Morgriff's Staff (Death) and Kole's Torment (Blood) and have money left over. Personally, I use the Maguuma Stade Cesta for the +1 DM, but it's all good.

If you really want a cheap 20% +1 death item, you could get one in Maguuma Stade for 5 Mossy Mandibles. However the energy is only 10(2 off of Max)
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Ingrid_Larson For blood, there's a crafter that will make you one for 5k and some materials. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Weapon_...s_Forge:_Sarad |

The one major draw back with the death collector staff is it does not do cold damage...as spinal shivers is a important component still. +5 energy wand is still the best over all though it's gonna cost more. You can likely get a near perfect one +4 energy 8% cast/recharge for what you have. As for the staff being to expensive I got offered 7k for a +5 insightful 18% death staff...so not all that expensive. Last edited by Manic Smile; Apr 24, 2006 at 10:51 PM // 22:51.. |

Yeah the greens are good middle of the road weapons and are very affordable right now. They offer predicatable mods and neat looking skins and will definately tide you over till you find the weapon of your dreams without breaking the bank.
